Pyegreave Farm dates back to approx 1490, and is
the oldest known farm in this part of Cheshire. Although nestling in a
lush secluded valley it is only 1/4 mile away from the picturesque village
of Langley is with 2 friendly pubs and 3/4 mile from the sought after
village of Sutton, while the main town of Macclesfield is just 2 miles
away, serviced by regular buses.
Macclesfield offers excellent schools in the state & private sector
which feature well above average in the performance tables.
The working farm breeds pedigree Aberdeen-Angus beef cattle under the
“Tegsnose” brand, and has pedigree flocks of Suffolk and Cheviot
sheep.
Two large stone barns, forming part of the original farmyard have recently
been converted into 5 luxury cottages, retaining rustic features such
as stone walls, oak beams, and wood burning stoves. They are available
to rent furnished or unfurnished all year round for whatever period you
require. We are happy to let on a weekly or monthly basis with no fixed
term where guests are intending to buy in the area or are awaiting completion
on a purchased property.
Pets are welcome as long as they are controlled at all times around livestock.
There is ample secure car/bike parking space within the farmyard.
All properties have telephone lines connected and broadband is now available
at the local exchange.
